hazards, evaluate the potential risks and take action to avoid
injury. It focuses on the relationship between unsafe acts,
unsafe conditions and accidents.
Upon completion of the program participants should be able

- Acceptable level of risk
- At-risk behavior
- Accident
- Incident
- Hazard
- Unsafe act
- Unsafe condition
- Describe the relationship between an accident with injury
or property damage and a Near-Miss incident
- Describe the three (3) levels of accident causation
- Describe common types of unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
- Use a Task Hazard Analysis Form to identify hazards and
develop control measures
- Describe factors that influence one's perceived level
of risk
- Coach and counsel co-workers when hazards or at-risk behavior
is observed
