Directing and motivating employees to work safely and productively
is an important aspect of a Supervisor’s job. Few companies
have a formal program for training newly appointed Supervisors.
Most companies identify top performing hourly employees and
promote them to Supervisor with the expectation they will
continue to be top performers. However, they don’t always
perform to the same level because their “tool box”
has been taken away. They are asked to work bare-handed. This
program will help provide the tools (training) the new Supervisor
needs to be a top performer.
