This program is for personnel who work in
or around Confined Spaces in industrial facilities as Entrants
and Attendants. The seminar will enhance the Entrant’s
and Attendant’s knowledge of the hazards and safeguards
associated with Confined Space Entry activities which includes
coverage of the OSHA Standard, specific safeguards, training
of personnel and emergency response procedures.
The seminar involves classroom instruction, demonstrations,
audio visuals and discussions. A final quiz will be used to
check participant’s knowledge and understanding of the
material. Upon completion, participants should be able to
describe:
- Basic hazards associated with Confined Space Entry
- Basic requirements of the OSHA Standard for Confined
Space Entry
- Basic preparation and isolation techniques for Confined
Space Entry
- Basic ventilation principles for Confined Spaces
- The types of gas tests required for entry into Confined
Spaces
- The duties and responsibilities of Confined Space entrants
and attendants
Limitations:
Completion of this program WILL NOT qualify personnel to
enter or work in confined spaces that are considered to have
IDLH Conditions.
